Yin and Yang Yoga

Finding balance through movement and stillness.

Yin & Yang Yoga is a practice that honours contrast. The Yang aspect of the practice is active and energising, inviting strength, effort, and a sense of purposeful movement, while the Yin side offers stillness through longer-held postures that encourage softness and release. Together, they create space to explore both effort and ease, helping you notice when to engage and when to slow down, and respond to your body with awareness and care.

What is Yin & Yang Yoga?

This practice blends two very different, yet deeply connected approaches to yoga. The Yang part of the class is more active, supporting warmth, circulation, and ease of movement through simple, mindful sequences. This naturally settles into Yin, where postures are held for longer and the focus shifts inward, giving the body time to soften and the mind space to rest. Together, they create a practice that feels steady, grounding, and complete.

Why practise Yin & Yang Yoga?

Balancing movement with stillness can be deeply supportive, especially when life feels busy or overwhelming. This style of practice can help release physical tension, calm the nervous system, and bring a sense of clarity and grounding. Many people leave feeling both refreshed and relaxed, with a quieter mind and a more settled body.
